Part 5 of my Bachelor series based on my experiences here in Germany and a look at the German Urban landscape, this time it's Nuremberg.

The original idea for this image is a famous drawing by Albrecht Durer of a Rhinocerus from 1515 [link] Durer is one of the most well known son's of the city. The drawing is almost comically inaccurate, having been drawn from someone else's description and not actually seeing it himself. (also, the house on the head with the 'eye' in it is Durer's as well).

The two things about Nuremberg that stood out to me were the amount of the medieval city that is still intact and it's zoo. The zoo is particularly cool as it is situated in the middle of it's own forest reserve right in the centre of the city and feels like it is in it's own little green world. The zoo itself is pretty awesome and was far better than the two other zoo's I have seen here in Europe.

Nuremberg is an ancient city and isn't exactly the most happening place in the world - to me it seems very traditional and conservative. For this reason the rhino isn't moving or on its way somewhere like the other cities so far.

I plan on coming back and revisiting this one as there are a couple of discrepancies I need to fix, but I am a little short on time to get everything finished right now (that snow you can see is just your imagination and every building had snow on it when I went there leave me alone =P).

As before, stock by yours truly. Photoshop supplemented with 3D done in C4D.

I appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism =D
