My Siberia

This is an album cover/poster art for Sydney based recording artist Dean Loaney for his self titled EP "My Siberia".

The concept for the piece draws on the first track of the EP, describing a breakup at Central Station in New York and the state of mind that accompany's this.

As we didn't have the budget to shoot Central Station in NYC, we used Australia's largest station - Sydney Central. I lucked out a bit in that the trans-continental train the Indian-Pacific was sitting in there on the day and one of the engines forms the head of my creature. The form and gait of the creature is based on a polar bear.

All stock shot by myself in Central Railway Station, Sydney except for the base layer of snow which can be found here: [link] (Being in Australia we have a distinct lack of frozen tundra, especially at this time of year.

EDIT: I've made numerous changes to this since, (thanks for the feedback guys) but DA's new back end is determined not to update the main file. Hopefully this will change soon...
